Co-founder and CEO
Dr. Quinn Wang is a UC San Francisco (UCSF)-trained cataract surgeon and 2x Duke alum (BA, MD) who graduated with highest distinction in English Literature.
She has published papers in leading journals such as Ophthalmology, designed and implemented a randomized clinical control trial, and pioneered bilateral cataract surgery in private practice.
Outside of work, she regularly cycles up mountains and occasionally climbs up volcanoes (on skis.)
Co-founder and CTO
Kristine is a 2x founder who graduated from UC Berkeley with degrees (BA, MS) in Biology, History, and Information Science.
She has authored academic papers in data mining and computer science, piloted studies in computational cancer research and evolutionary genetics, and shorted the fastest market crash in history.
When not working, she enjoys road-tripping across Africa and exploring ghost towns. Also previously @Pandora and Engineer #6 @UnitedMasters ($350M val).
Founding Engineer
Akagi is a 2x founder and self-taught software developer who previously led engineering at Gentlebirth, a pregnancy and wellness startup.
In his spare time, Akagi explores biohacking via at-home testing kits and ethnobotanical medicine and also enjoys nomading worldwide (most recently in Panama!)
Founding Designer
Leandro Puca is a strategic designer and creative problem solver with 15 years of industry experience working on multi-million dollar projects for companies such as Apple, Wolters Kluwer, and Gucci. He was previously Global Head of Design at Icreon, a digital innovation partner for growth brands.
Born and raised in Brescia, Italy, he is passionate about exploring new perspectives and is constantly pushing himself to think out of the box by asking, “What If?”
When not busy working or being a dad, Leandro can be found playing golf, snowboarding, traveling or walking on the beach.
Head of Research & Machine Learning
Dr. Ramazan Demirli is a senior R&D leader with two decades of experience delivering novel smart consumer devices and software to improve health, wellness, and fitness. Most notably, he was Senior Director of R&D at Sleep Number Labs (of the unicorn corp. Sleep Number), where he developed the core ML-based algorithms powering the first-ever IoT smart bed. He has also held numerous other leadership roles, including as VP of Data Science at Arable (Series B) and co-founder & Chief Scientist at Ciye, a maker of smart swim goggles.
Ramazan has published more than 50 research articles, disclosed inventions for 16 patents, and chaired several IEEE conferences. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, IL.
Outside of work, Ramazan enjoys listening to jazz, exploring city landmarks and museums, and reading about the history of civilizations.
Engineer in Residence
Enoch is a software and biomedical engineer with degrees from the University of Hong Kong (BEng) and Duke University (MEng.)
He has developed several clinical IT platforms, prototyped a range of medical devices, and co-authored papers on wearable sensor technologies and ultrasound elastography.
When not at his computer, Enoch can be found noodling on his guitar, experimenting with slow-cooking recipes or exploring the local craft beer scene in whatever city he finds himself.
Lead Optometrist
Dr. Tyler Boyd is an Oklahoma native who holds dual degrees in Biology and Chemistry.
He currently practices in Oklahoma, where he cares for patients who travel from several hours away.
In addition to exploring new eyecare technology, Tyler spends his time leatherworking, woodworking, and playing yard games with his wife and four kids.
Head of Patient Success
Dr. Cindy Cork is a multi-state licensed Optometrist with 23+ years of experience in diverse practice settings such as prisons and community clinics.
She’s also worked as a sub-investigator for an FDA trial on presbyopia and previously ran the Vision Care Program at Miami Dade College.
Her outside interests include mission trips and travelling to different countries and experiencing new cultures.
Head of Content
Kellie is a digital content strategist and leader who has worked with clients such as Cleveland Clinic Wellness, Healthline Media, Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), and more.
She previously held executive roles at XO Group, NBCU, and iVillage, where she built and managed teams to create award-winning content and the #1 community for women.
When not working, you’ll find Kellie running in Prospect Park, cooking with her husband and kids, or planning her next house project or family trip.
Social Media Intern
Sibani is a pre-medical student at Duke University who has interned with the Duke-NUS Medical School and the World Food Prize Foundation.
She is deeply interested in clinical research, creative nonfiction writing, and medical ethics. In her free time, Sibani loves reading, running, watching movies, and listening to music.
Dr. Jay Stewart is a vitreoretinal specialist at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and serves as Chief of Ophthalmology at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG), where he has piloted several telemedicine initiatives.
In his NIH-funded research, Dr. Stewart studies age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, drug delivery to the eye, and the permeability and biomechanics of eye tissues.
He earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the Retina Society.
Dr. Wood is a vitreoretinal specialist at Stanford University School of Medicine, where he mentors the ophthalmology innovation fellowship and develops mitochondrial therapeutics for age-related retinal disease.
Dr. Wood has founded three biomedical and biotechnology companies and served as an advisor for many others. In addition, he has published over 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts and has been the principal investigator for numerous research trials.
He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, the Vit-Buckle Society, Club Vit, and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
Myong Lee is the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Clever Care Health Plan. With 14 years’ experience in health care leadership, Myong has a proven track-record in launching health care organizations. His leadership focus is in building provider relationships and VBC contracting.
Prior to founding Clever Care, Myong was VP Payer Contracting at agilon health, COO of Satellite Healthplan, CFO/COO at Inspira Health, and Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis at SCAN Health Plan.
Myong earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Finance from Franklin & Marshall College.
Nish is a co-founder of Color, a population health biotechnology unicorn that has raised over $350 million. At Color, he built bioinformatic engines for data analysis and helped win major deals with NIH, Apple, Salesforce, and others.
He invests and advises in several early- and late-stage life-sciences companies and founded the Sci-Founder Fellowship, a program to help early career scientists start companies of their own.
David Kopp is a consumer healthcare and digital media leader with a track-record of execution and success, most recently as CEO of Healthline Media.
He has a deep passion for healthcare and over a decade of industry experience spanning CEO/General Management (vision, culture definition, operational excellence), Product Marketing, Product Strategy, Product Management, and Online Marketing with a special focus on SEO and paid marketing.
David lives in the Bay Area with his wife, 4 kids and yellow lab.
Dr. Benjamin Schwartz is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who serves as Chief Innovation Officer at Healent.
Dr. Schwartz is a digital health expert, startup advisor, and a member of the Buoy Health medical advisory board.
He was named one of LinkedIn's Top Voices of 2020 and was also a 2019-2020 Doximity Fellow.
Sam is a Product Architect on the Oculus Team at Facebook.
He has a decade of experience taking hardware products from initial R&D through to mass production and is currently focused on product architecture for next-generation AR/VR devices.
He studied Electrical Engineering at Stanford University (BA, MS).
